UTS grad with distinction average tutors NGO and Charity Management up to Masters Level

Methodology

I have a broad background in NGO work, having worked and volunteered in our sector for ten years across seven countries, as well as a Masters in NGO Management and Social Enterprise from the University of Technology, Sydney. I combine this with ten years of experience as a private tutor. I aim to structure all my lessons to broaden my student's worldview, challenge their assumptions and test the logic of their arguments. I am able to bring a unique synthesis of perspectives to all my lessons to help my students to use NGO management theories to analysis current issues and trends in the sector. I also have a strong background in essay writing and logic which I use to help test and strengthen the theses of their essays.

As this is an ever-evolving field, I feel learning is very much a two-way process, and try to use dialogue, discussion and contextual materials and examples to build the student's understanding. I really enjoy this field and try to bring my enthusiasm, knowledge and experience to every class I teach.

Jaye is extremely professional and knowledgeable. She has great patience and various ways of explaining concepts I struggle understanding. She has an extensive knowledge in various topics and is continuously furthering her studies. Don't think twice to do a class with her! You will not regret it. She has helped me going from a "pass" student to a distinction student and I couldn't have done it without all her help.

Jaye is an exceptional communicator, relationship builder and incredibly patient and respectful to all students from all backgrounds - attributes which make her an outstanding teacher. She has high levels of language and subject matter expertise, not only in her own understanding, but additionally in her skills and ability to distil complex concepts in political science, government, international relations and other subjects, into understandable pieces for her students. This is additionally bolstered through her extensive, international practical and academic experience. Ultimately, alongside her incredibly enthusiastic demeanour, Jaye is able to tailor lessons to the person she is working with, providing effective, long-lasting knowledge, instruction and understanding. I would wholeheartedly recommend Jaye as a teacher and mentor.

Jaye worked as a registered tutor with Tutor In from January 2018 to December 2019. Jaye provided one-to-one home tuition for students aged 11-18 in subjects including: Maths, English, History, Geography and Spanish. Jaye received consistently excellent feedback from her students and their parents. Jaye has excellent subject knowledge in a range of core subjects. She quickly establishes great tutoring relationships with students of all levels and abilities, and from a range of backgrounds. Jaye was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend her for future teaching or tutoring roles.
