One-on-one is my preferred method of tutoring. I will accept larger groups, but no more than three to four students at a time - as I prefer a more personalised approach. This allows me to understand where the student(s) is having difficulty and encourages the student(s) to ask questions as they go along. Note: I will not sit tests or do assignments for students.
I am an AIMS qualified Medical Scientist who has worked in coagulation and molecular research for the last nine years. I have skills in statistical analysis, laboratory haematology, molecular biology (PCR, qPCR, DNA/RNA extraction) and general research methods. I have experience with systematic reviews and meta-analyses and knowledge of many statistical software programs (SPSS, SAS, GraphPad Prism, MedCalc, MetaDisc, OpenMetaAnalyst, Excel and PS Sample Size Calculator), including the more important aspects: when and how to use them and how to interpret the results.
Perfect! Yusrah is very experienced, knowledgeable and patient. In the past, tutors have overwhelmed me with too much information, but what I loved about Yusrah is that she simplify complicated concepts without watering down the message or oversimplifying ideas. She is immensely helpful and I was very happy to be her student.
Noot was an enthusiastic and engaging student - a pleasure to teach.
Yusrah is exceptional tutor. Her knowledge and skill in this regard is of the highest standard. She helped me to do well in a difficult subject that I struggled with and I am very grateful for her time and dedication toward my learning in this area (biostatistics).
I met with Yusrah to get some advice regarding meta-analysis for my PhD, and she was extremely experienced and helpful. She not only set me on the right track to conduct my analysis, but also provided me with plenty of resources to help me in other areas. She's a great tutor and really knows her stuff!
