- What kind of experience do you have?
In Australia I taught both violin and viola at Primary and High school level (St Vincents High School, North Annandale Public School and Rozelle Public School), preparing and working towards performing recitals and school concerts. One highlight was an arrangement I wrote of Yellow Submarine that the violin ensemble worked towards and performed at assembly. The children were very proud and happy after acheiving this, playing together and musically, they as well as their audience enjoyed the performance.
In London I was a violin teacher at a Steiner school for 1 and a half years teaching group beginner classes of ages 9-11. My lessons with children always incorporate elements of play alongside the foundational instrumental practice. I use a combination of Suzuki, Kodaly, Blackwell Fiddle time Joggers and AMEB grade teaching techniques.
I taught in London and continue to teach online adult violin students privately. My main focus is to build up technique, sound production and musicianship to develop confidence and enjoyment in playing the violin and to learn and play pieces ranging from Bach to Scottish Jigs.

I had regular weekly lessons of violin with Cecile for four months two years ago. I think that Cecile is a dedicated and fine teacher. I would highlight her capability to pick the musical pieces and exercises adapted to the level and interests of the student. I am happy to have had lessons with Cecile during that time.
