One of our best tutors. Quality of their profile, experience in their field, verified qualifications and a great response time. Madison will be happy to arrange your first lesson.
About the lesson
My classes are encouraging, helpful and enthusiastic. Each classes approach differs depending on the individual but are usually refined and goal-driven, with a focus on the particular style of music/genre they are working on. For voice, guitar and piano, these lessons can combine to 'voice & piano/keys' and 'voice & guitar' with a more songwriting based direction as well, as opposed to strictly one instrument.

01
When did you first develop a passion for music and your favourite instrument?
I developed a passion for music at a very young age - having a love for singing and beginning piano lessons at age 6. This then went on to learning flute, trumpet, violin and then focusing more on voice and guitar (my favourite instrument to play!)
02
Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?
There's nothing like listening to classic bands such as Fleetwood Mac and The Beach Boys and less known tracks from their discography. There is so much to discover with each listen and whether you listen through headphones, a speaker, in the car... the audio will come through differently and it will be a whole new experience.
03
Explain to us the most difficult or 'riveting' lesson you could personally give to one of your students?
There is so much psychology that goes behind feeling mentally capable, driven and strong to achieve goals. Music is a very personal thing and as hard as it may be sometimes, it is about removing the ego from yourself and being open, allowing yourself to achieve specific goals whilst feeling wholeheartedly connected to the music.
04
What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?
Each instrument will seem complicated to begin with. Whether it be a string instrument and you're trying to understand bowing techniques or a woodwind instrument where initially you'll be trying to make an audible sound - each instrument will seem complicated. Everyone is also different, what may seem complicated to one student may feel more natural to another.
05
What are your keys to success?
Staying motivated, consistent to practice and play, constantly trying to push yourself and overall being passionate!
06
Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.
Joni Mitchell, Adele and Prince. Joni would bring wisdom, then Adele is a character who would bring a lot of insight and fun to the conversation and lastly Prince is incredibly fascinating and mysterious. Each individual so incredibly unique, talented yet in different worlds.
07
Provide a valuable anecdote related to your musical journey, or your days at 'music school'.
Always stay open-minded and hold onto the drive and passion within music. There are so many opportunities out there for both beginners and professionals and it is never too late to learn. Whether it be a hobby or career, music has so many benefits for various aspects of life - feeling connected to the music, to yourself individually and connecting with others (other musicians and an audience).
08
What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?
Each lesson is catered to the individual. I believe in breaking down any wall of fear and truly working on getting into the music, feeling confident in your ability and overall enjoying the experience!
