At the start of year 11, I was ranked 100th in my cohort, but by the end of year 12, I climbed to 30th. This drastic improvement came not just from a change in how hard I worked but instead from a shift in mindset. I changed my approach to learning by working smarter with a greater focus on exam-style preparation and understanding how to convey my knowledge to markers.
