About Sheree
I’m an Adelaide-based tonal realist artist. I trade under the name of Sheree Wright. My artwork is oil paint on canvas. I have been a full-time artist for 20 years, tutor for 7 years, hosting workshops for year 10 students at Immanuel College for the last 4 years. I have an Associate's degree with Adelaide Central School of Art. I was represented by Greenhill Gallery at North Adelaide, which has since shut their doors. I have exhibited in many group exhibitions and have been a finalist in the Water Prize for the Fleurieu Art Prize. I am featuring in an upcoming exhibition February 2021 with Collective Haunt Inc, Norwood.

As an Artist in Residence at Immanuel College, I designed a workshop called 'an introduction to the essential principles and fundamentals of oil painting and tonal realism.' I specialize in guiding students of varying ages in oil painting or any medium they wish to explore. I not only provide tools for drawing, I teach the value of tone, which adds to the success of a painting or drawing. This is a fundamental element in the impact of visual art, whether abstract or realism. I tutor varying ages from teenage to mature age. I have successfully helped students who were struggling before they came to me to produce amazing work, enhancing their talent but mostly helping them to understand their own confidence and trust in their ability. I have specialized in helping year 11 and 12 students successfully.

I can chat with students about rates in our first 30 mins. I like to have a meeting first to see what the client wants and what to bring for the first lesson, i.e., materials, etc. I offer ongoing support at home while tutoring at no extra cost.
