About Tessa

With over 7 years of teaching and a BM in Jazz Violin Studies, I bring a rich performance background in solo, chamber, and orchestral music to my students. My focus is on helping violinists prepare for auditions with clarity, precision, and stage confidence. I work closely with high school performers, conservatory students, and competition entrants who want to reach their full potential. My lessons emphasize the interpretation of advanced repertoire alongside solid technical foundations. I guide learners through bowing strategies, tone production, and phrasing while also preparing them for the pressure of live auditions. Stage presence is a key part of my teaching, as I believe confidence is as important as skill. Students gain tools not only for playing the notes but for expressing themselves fully on stage. Each session is tailored to highlight individual strengths while addressing specific challenges. I provide practical practice routines, performance simulations, and feedback that sharpen results.
