How Mathematics Advanced and Extension 1 Work Together

So should you opt for Mathematics Extension 1? Think about your mathematical foundations, your interest in the subject, and how much you'll be willing to practise regularly. Talk to teachers if you have any doubts.

Your algebra skills are reasonably secure: You can manipulate expressions, solve equations and work with functions without needing to relearn the basics each time. Extension 1 relies heavily on these foundations as problems become more complex.³
