About Coco
Coco Layne (they/them) is a Taiwanese-American non-binary polymath with eight years of expertise in the beauty + fashion industry. They are a multidisciplinary artist, designer, art director, producer, photographer, party host, entrepreneur, and creative strategist with a background in fashion design at Parsons. Their work and practice is rooted in shifting culture through purpose-driven storytelling.
Their work has won numerous beauty industry awards, been exhibited at the MOPC Seattle and published by Oxford University Press. Most recently they designed and launched an award-winning clean skincare brand, Bloomeffects. Since launch in 2019, Bloomeffects has secured $2M+ in seed funding and can be found in prestige beauty retailers worldwide.
In the last decade Coco has appeared in the New York Times, Huffington Post, Dailymail UK, Refinery29, OUT Magazine, Vogue, Paper Magazine, Vice, and more. Theirfocus on creating change through fashion, beauty, and creative expression has amassed an online community of supporters who believe in a future of inclusion and equity. They are committed to building and shaping the landscape of skincare and beauty to be inclusive and aligned with the values that are rooted in care and wellbeing.
