About Muhammad Faqih
I was considered by some as a talented player since I was young. I was the Selangor State Under-12 Champion since I was 9. Won the National Under-13 and won the National University Tournament when I was 18. It is a good career, and I am still improving, but I do believe I can do much better if I know "How to train effectively". I have certainly experimented a lot while growing up as a chess player on the methods and techniques of training. I want to help people to find their inner talent for chess in the hope that it will not go to waste. In the journey of becoming a better chess player, I hope my students will become people.

Each student would have different study plans. I divided student levels into two: (1) Lichess below 1800 (beginners) (2) Lichess rating from 1800-2100 (intermediate) For beginners, I would emphasize tactical awareness; the goal is for the students to avoid tactical mistakes. For intermediate-level students, tactical training is still important, but improvement in positional play is emphasized. The building of an opening repertoire is emphasized for all levels of students. The topics covered are the usual, tactical, positional, endgame, and strategy. For more experienced players rated (1800 to 2000), longer time control sparring sessions are also a must. Normal lessons usually need at least 1.5 hours. I would advise having at least 3 sessions per month. I prefer students above 13 years old; there is no upper limit of age.
