About Ly
In my tutoring, I focus on creating interactive, supportive lessons tailored to each student’s needs. I design sessions around Mathematics and Statistics, helping students not only understand core concepts but also gain the confidence to apply them in real-life contexts. With one year of freelance tutoring experience during my undergraduate studies, I’ve learned that the key to effective teaching is communication — listening carefully to students’ goals, identifying their challenges, and adapting my pace and methods to their learning style. My academic background in Mathematical Science enriches my approach, allowing me to connect theory with practical examples and problem-solving techniques. Beyond academic content, I emphasise soft-skill development such as analytical thinking, perseverance, and clear communication — qualities essential for both study and professional growth. By keeping lessons engaging and student-centred, I aim to motivate learners, helping them feel supported, confident, and capable of achieving their goals.

My tutoring approach focuses on interaction, clarity, and confidence-building. I begin each lesson with a short review of previous topics, then explain new Maths or Statistics concepts through clear examples and visual aids. I include short exercises and problem-solving activities to reinforce understanding and keep students engaged. Each session typically lasts 1 to 1.5 hours, combining theory with practice. I have one year of tutoring experience during my undergraduate studies, helping students strengthen their analytical and quantitative skills. My lessons are designed for primary and secondary school students, making complex ideas simple, practical, and enjoyable to learn.
