I am a versatile professional with a unique blend of skills and experiences in the medical sciences, entertainment, hospitality, and martial arts industries. My educational background includes a Master of Science in Biotechnology & Bioinformatics from La Trobe University and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from the University of Adelaide, which provided a solid foundation in laboratory work and innovative problem-solving. As a STEM School Outreach Liaison and Science Communicator, I have delivered STEM programs to rural and disadvantaged schools in Victoria, setting up and maintaining tabletop scanning electron microscopes. I am known for conveying complex concepts to diverse audiences, ensuring comprehension while maintaining regulatory compliance and safety standards. Having previously worked as a science communicator, I am able to tailor lessons and explanations to a wide range of age groups. I have experience in teaching young children from the age of 5 all the way up to adults in their 60s and am able to find ways of relating to them. Recently, I've even needed to expand my repertoire to think outside of the square prism to find ways to relate to computers, as I have been tutoring AI (LLMs) on Biomedical Engineering topics. My technique that has been the most praised and widely received (globally) has been making videos of visualized mnemonics (stories or phrases) to help people remember complex processes in entertaining and humorous ways. These videos have even been featured in medical and nursing courses around the world.
