About Nidya

Born in Selangor and raised in Penang, I am 34 years old and I currently reside in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I have a Ph.D. in Industrial Biotechnology (USM, Malaysia) and a B.Sc. in Biochemistry (UM, Malaysia). The ambition was to become a scientist and be a researcher but I realized my true calling is teaching and became an educator instead. I have helped countless students to achieve good results and have tailored my lessons to best suit their individual learning needs as no two students are alike. Even though my primary job is to deliver Biology lessons, students eventually find me to be a trusted confidante to guide and navigate other aspects of their lives as well. I look forward to helping you unlock your potential.

About the lesson

Currently, I tutor full-time online and have 11 years of extensive experience tutoring Cambridge (CIE), IB, EDEXCEL, and AQA Biology. I am genuinely caring towards my student’s academic performance and am willing to go to great lengths to ensure my students truly understand the subject. My teaching methodology is to coach students to understand topics thoroughly, help them to link ideas and concepts across the different chapters and train them on mastering answering techniques. Most of my students have done exceptionally well in their examinations under my tutelage and I ended up tutoring their younger siblings and family members due to strong recommendations from the parents of my proven track record.
