About Colette

A language enthusiast. Having studied French from GCSE through to Bachelor degree level, and then learning Spanish as a beginner in university, I am fully aware of the challenges faced as a learner. I am a high achieving graduate, also qualified to teach English as a foreign language. I want to pass on my passion for languages and travel to others, using fun methods so that the whole process is enjoyable.

I have been fortunate enough to live and study in both France and Spain and therefore I have a strong cultural knowledge of both of these countries. I am looking forward to helping you on your journey.

I am empathetic and patient, and know that language learning is not an overnight process.

About the lesson

I am a qualified secondary school teacher, specialising in French and Spanish, which I can teach from absolute beginner, through to GCSE and A level.

I can help with exam preparation, focus on tricky areas such as grammar, or simply developing speaking and listening skills. If you are looking to pick up some conversational skills for going on holiday, this is also something I would be happy to help with.

I also teach English as a Foreign Language, after having gained my TEFL qualification in 2019. I have been teaching online to students of all ages.

Lessons can range from 30 minutes to an hour, or longer, depending on your goals and deadlines.

I have experience of teaching pupils from primary school age onwards. There is no age limit to learning a language!
