About Zulay
I'm an Illustrator and Animatior, currently studying my last semester at UTS as an exchange student. I'm enthusiastical about art, culture and language, hence I enjoy sharing and trading knowledge with the others. I have lived in Mexico during my whole life, and I have previously given private english classes.
Currently I'm teaching private spanish classes in Sydney, CBD area.

I base my classes on intuitiveness of communication skills. I stick to the theories that state the primacy of speaking in language skills development; hence I encourage students to apply their grammatical and vocabulary knoledge in speaking. Just after certain familiarization exercises, I encourage them to approach language with a more analytic focus.
One of my main teaching strategies is bringing to classes authentic lnguistic material (i.e. podcasts, tv shows, printed material produced by native speakers) to help students to get in touchwith the nature of the language.
