About Joseph

Tutoring comes very natural to me as I really enjoy helping others and I am naturally a strong communicator and listener.

I take pride in my work and my sole focus is ensuring the needs of the student are met whatever they may be.

I am a positive and optimistic tutor who will help build confidence in your work and strive to help you succeed as far as possible.

I like to make the learning process enjoyable and relaxed as I understand that exams and application processes can be stressful, and a Tutor who is engaging and teaches in an enjoyable way can help an enormous amount in succeeding and achieving your goals.

I understand the importance of breaking down complicated legal concepts into simple, understandable forms. This is a skill that I have developed having left University of Law during my legal roles.

Having studied at Newcastle University at undergraduate level and worked for some years in Property, I progressed to postgraduate studies at the University of Law for two years.

I achieved a distinction in the GDL in my first year, as well as securing a training contract at my top choice law firm.
I achieved a distinction in the LPC MSc in my second.

I spent 1 year working in-house with the legal team at the world's biggest sports brand, which was a highly-competitive application process.

I have performed to a high level in my academic and professional career, from A* AA at A-Level to distinctions in my postgraduate masters degree.
All of these experiences have equipped me with the skills to succeed not just with the academic legal studies, but with job interviews and training contract application processes.

About the lesson

I love to help law students by using my experience and knowledge to work through difficult legal concepts and make them simple and understandable.

I really enjoy the learning process and focus on achieving and exceeding your goals and targets.

As well as my academic experience, I also have strong understanding of the training contract and interview process to law firms having successfully completed and secured one for a leading city commercial law firm.

A little of my legal academic and professional background:

I achieved Distinctions in my GDL and LPC MSc degrees at the University of Law.
During my GDL year, I secured a training contract at my first choice law firm.
After my LPC MSc, I secured a highly competitive in-house legal role at the worlds biggest sports brand.

Having experienced the above during my academic and professional careers, I confidently cater for all levels of Law tutoring, with particular focus on helping with GDL and LPC students, as well as advising on training contract applications and interview preparation.

The structure of the session is entirely up to you - we will discuss specifically what you require help with and then agree on the best approach that works for you.
