About Shon
I was born in Amman, Jordan, and lived there until I was 21, earning a bachelor's degree in finance before moving to Australia nearly 26 years ago. As a fluent English speaker and native Arabic speaker, I teach Arabic with a focus on dialects such as Jordanian, Syrian, Lebanese, and Egyptian. My personal experience learning English, combined with my understanding of Australian culture, helps me translate Arabic in ways that resonate with Australian students. I’m passionate about making Arabic accessible and relevant for beginners and experienced learners alike, offering a practical, supportive approach to language learning.
