About Emma
I am a Curtin University student at the end of my undergraduate degree majoring in Literary and Cultural Studies and Professional Writing and Publishing. While I specialise in academic essays, I am proficient in writing a number of professional and creative written forms, from speeches and feature articles to personal essay and memoir. I also have experience in editing, analysing and critiquing written copy as well as visual forms such as film, art and photography. I have professional experience in dance as an instructor and performer.

My teaching method is based on ensuring students understanding the purpose and specific requirements their unit, course or assessment structure and working from there based on how they can best complete their work. I will work with students using relevant samples (past or current) or their own work, their unit and assessment outlines and, if applicable, samples of my own work. With students being under stress, my strategy is to approach their work with simplicity, breaking concepts down to their most understandable level so that they are learnt long term rather than temporarily remembered.
Finally, I work to help students find genuine interest in what they are studying to spark motivation and further bolster learning.
