About Sumin

Hello! My name is Sumin, and I’m currently studying a Master of Teaching in Melbourne. I have a strong passion for education and experience supporting students through private tutoring, teaching assistant roles, and a recent student teaching placement at an Australian school. Having grown up in Korea, Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong before moving to Australia, I bring a global perspective and strong cultural awareness to my teaching. I understand that every one of you learn differently and I take pride in creating personalized, engaging lessons that meet each learner’s unique needs and goals. Whether you're preparing for exams, building foundational skills, or exploring something new, I'm here to support you with patience, encouragement, and professional guidance :)

About the lesson

I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. I tailor each lesson & resources to the individual learner’s needs, using a mix of direct instruction, guided practice, and interactive discussion to build understanding and encourage independent thinking.

*I provide follow-up resources, lesson review materials every class & homework (optional) to reinforce learning between sessions.
*All materials and resources will be provided

Qualifications and Experience
- Currently completing a Master of Teaching in Monash University
- Experience as a private tutor for both primary and secondary students
- Completed teaching placement at Australian schools as a student teacher
- Worked as a teaching assistant, supporting learners from early childhood to Year 12

Who My Lessons Are For
- Korean: Beginner to advanced learners of all ages (children to adults)
- Group lessons are also available
