About Ben
I am currently pursuing an MSc in Modern South Asian Studies at St Antony's College, Oxford.
During my undergraduate studies at the ANU, I achieved a GPA of (concealed information) with a double-minor in India Studies & Hindi. In addition, I completed internships with a national security think tank in the Sri Lankan Ministry of Defence, as well as with India-based NGOs and social enterprises. I have also published articles in blogs and undergraduate journals.

I will aim to tailor each 1-hour class to the interests and needs of the student.
If you want to focus entirely on concepts, we can nerd out on ideas together! Whether this involves going through topics covered in class or assigned readings or exploring an argument you're constructing for an essay, it will be fine by me! I will not tell you what you should or shouldn't think. However, I will press you on your arguments and ask you to substantiate them.
If you are searching for essay writing guidance, I can provide feedback on drafts and help you structure your argument. I'm also happy to help you with other pesky tasks, such as referencing.
I will mainly aim my classes toward IR undergraduates (and those in related fields). However, I am also happy to help students from the wider Social Sciences/Humanities or VCE students with their essay writing.
One final point: I can't guarantee I will know every theory or concept off the top of my head, but I will be willing to figure it out between classes and get back to you!
