About Ritchlynn
I am an Engineer in Biotechnology and am currently studying my Masters in Biomedical Science at Monash. I have tutored a few of my batch mates in genetics, molecular and cellular biology, and a little biochemistry too, and they've always fared well in their exams. I have worked in many labs too and thus have a practical understanding to the science, which in turn makes me a better teacher.

Biology can seem like a scary subject for many people - you know, with all the big names, the different functions of a protein/molecule, the memorising. And if you cannot see something function, you cannot really understand how it will work, right? You’re absolutely right.
My experience in labs makes me a well suited person to explain the topic to a struggling student. I can explain the science with real life examples, because I have actually worked on them.
My class will contain examples of how processes occur, so a student won’t get stumped with the information. I will begin the class by understanding where the student has a gap in the knowledge, or hasn’t understood a particular topic and start from the basics, so they can connect the dots and understand the science. Quizzes are fun, aren’t they (don’t worry – It’s just for me to understand where your understanding is at)?
Overall, I hope to help the student and in turn learn from them too.
