My teaching method is to get students to understand some of the more difficult concepts which are approached in philosophy. I will help students write up an essay plan, as well as help them construct arguments. I prefer to read materials that the student is working with so that I can engage them with their ideas properly. My focus is on interpretation, and I will have students learning to interpret difficult ideas and concepts on their own.
I am a graduate who has earned an honours degree in Philosophy. I specialise in European Philosophy. I have studied Kant's Critique of Pure Reason extensively, Hegel as well as French Philosophy. Specifically I am interested in Michel Foucault, Gilles Deleuze and Jacques Ranciere. I also have a lot of secondary resources and am well practiced in constructing arguments.
I can help students develop a coherent position on complicated topics. This includes more recent studies in Philosophy, like analytical reasoning and applied ethics.
