I have been a bilingual teacher for a long time. I am a native Chinese speaker and also an advanced English user. I teach both Chinese and English. I have been interested in second or foreign language learning and teaching, which is quite different from first/native language learning. Therefore, the teaching methods should be catered to specific learning contexts.
In the current era of globalisation, I encourage my students to focus more on second/foreign language use or communication skills than on pronunciations or accents. I always tell my students not to be ashamed by their second language accents as long as the communication is smooth or the information can be successfully conveyed.
I also keep reminding my students of the fact that they do not need to know every single Chinese grammar or language knowledge. They should focus on learning Chinese knowledge that is important in their area. This is why there are different types of Chinese teaching such as business Chinese, academic Chinese, etc.

Perfect! Was quickly able to understand my son's needs and issues with his Chinese abilities and homework. Has set out a plan to get him back up to speed.
I taught Yidi English when she was an undergraduate student. Her hard work, dedication to detail and desire to learn quickly propelled her forward. Yidi always went the extra step in class and wasn't afraid to tackle difficult tasks. However, throughout her time as my student, she was also my patient teacher! She was invaluable when I needed translation assistance (both written and oral) and has continued to be a helpful resource in my own Chinese journey. Yidi is patient, kind, and friendly but dedicated to excellence.
Yidi and I know each other in Xi 'an, a very historical and cultural city in China. She is a very enthusiastic and helpful friend, she graduated from a Chinese normal university.
I believe she is a professional teacher who will teach you the Chinese language well and also share the amazing Chinese culture and life with you.
Have been friends with Yidi for years, she the most patient and thoughtful friend of mine. Staying with her, you can have a sense of security and are happy to get along with her.
There’re a few good teachers I’ve met while I was a student, and Yidi definitely is one of them. Whenever I had troubles in learning, she would always be there for me, explaining with patience and detailed. I really appreciate the precious advice and genuine help from her. they really mean a lot for me. And Yidi is undeniably a great teacher.
Yidi’s Chinese level and English level are both excellent, which makes her really good at building a bridge between two languages for English learners and Chinese learners.
I used to work with YiDi. We were teaching general English together in China. She gave me good inspirations in work. Students always loved her.
As a teacher, she is qualified and professional. And as an employee, she is punctual and hardworking.
