I understand that different methods work for different people. When it comes to coaching, there is plethora of motivational tools and coaching methods that can be applied. I base my coaching off individual character and fitness level. I believe that running is 90% mental and 10% physical - my goal is to get you to understand how so you can be a more efficient runner.
I am a middle distance runner. I represented both the Track & Field and Cross-Country team at St Thomas Aquinas College (STAC) In New York. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Science with concentration in Sport Management and I hold my Certificate II and III in Sport and Recreation. I come from a triathlon background but I have been focussing on running for the last 6 years. I have been coaching a wide range of runners for about 1 year now and I absolutely love it. From ambitious runners that want to qualify for states or complete a marathon, to recreational runners who just want to improve their running technique. One of my biggest coaching accomplishments would have to be when one of my athletes shaved 1 minute off his 5km TT in only 3 months of training (16min 30sec to 15min 30 sec).

Ian is very knowledgeable about different recovery methods. Although I suffered from shin splints for years, he took me through proper running mechanics and I'm now running pain free. Im currently working towards my first marathon and it's been awesome to have him as a coach as he keeps me motivated and accountable everyday.
Ian is a great coach. He is very motivational and he taught me so many things about nutrition. I went from barely being able to run the 10km to running the half-marathon in only 6 month of training with him. Lost 12kg in the process. Keep up the good work!!
