A bit more about me...

I’ve worked in education since 2018, starting as a Teaching Assistant in Maths and Science before qualifying as a teacher in 2021. Since then, I’ve taught in secondary schools and now specialise in online tutoring that’s focused, low-stress, and results-driven.

I’m passionate about my subjects and genuinely love teaching. Helping students build confidence and achieve their goals is what I do every day.

About the lesson

I have a proven track record of helping students achieve their academic best, and I believe this comes down to my core approach: making learning both meaningful and enjoyable. At the heart of my teaching are metacognitive strategies, which encourage students to reflect on their learning and take ownership of their progress.

I aim to make Physics and Maths accessible and engaging by bringing each topic to life through real-world examples and practical applications. My online lessons are immersive and interactive, breaking down complex ideas into manageable, relatable concepts.

I teach Maths for Year 6 SATs students, as well as GCSE Maths (Foundation and Higher), and GCSE Physics (Foundation and Higher). I create a learning environment where students feel supported, challenged, and motivated to succeed. A key part of this is building effective exam techniques, using a wide range of past papers to help students practise different question styles with confidence.

I follow the National Curriculum for Year 6 SATs and teach GCSE Maths using the Edexcel specification, which is also suitable for those studying the Edexcel iGCSE. GCSE Physics is taught in line with the AQA Triple Science specification.

Establishing his level, where is weaknesses lie, the style of teaching he responds to and after the first couple of lessons our son is excited to learn.
