About Oscar
I've been playing drums since i was 10, and throughout high school I took on music as a subject, which required me to learn and perform a range of different songs varying in all genres. I'm looking to help anyone who is currently, or is planning on going through the same journey. I will help improve technique, expand drumming vocabulary, and make playing the drums as fun as it should be!
I am currently drumming for the band Heartline. I have toured around Australia playing live shows, and recorded new songs in the studio
For me, drumming is just incredibly fun, and although sometimes there are times when we take it more seriously, the end goal is to enjoy playing! And thats the reason I would love to teach others this amazing instrument.

I teach all levels ranging from 'just beginning' to 'intermediate/advanced'. Ideally, i would teach students who are journeying or plan to journey through music throughout school, as that is where i have high level first hand experience.
I can teach the basics of playing drums, reading sheet music, learning songs, and most importantly... how to groove. I personally play rock and metal, but take interest in a range of genres.
I do 30 minute and 1 hour lessons!

Perfect! Oscar is an excellent instructor for anyone new to the drums. Oscar seeks to understand the different ways in which a student learns best and combines this with their own teaching methods to offer dynamic and intuitive lessons that unfold according to a student’s proficiencies and interests. I feel like I’ve learned so much already and I’m looking forward to more fun with on the drums with Oscar!
