About Cleo

I’m a dedicated violin tutor with over 10 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a Violin Emphasis. My musical journey has taken me through solo performances, chamber ensembles, and full orchestral settings. This diverse background allows me to guide students through every facet of performance with confidence and artistry. I specialize in helping students refine their stage presence, prepare for auditions, and dive deep into the interpretation of advanced repertoire. Whether it’s perfecting a concerto or polishing an etude, I work closely with each student to bring out their unique musical voice. I’ve had the privilege of mentoring high school performers, conservatory students, and competition entrants, tailoring my approach to meet their evolving needs. In our lessons, we focus not only on technique but also on musical storytelling and emotional expression. I believe that developing a strong sense of self as a performer is just as important as mastering the notes on the page. About the lesson

My teaching approach blends physical awareness, mental focus, and musical flow to help students play with ease and expression. I guide learners to develop healthy posture and breathing habits that support both sound production and emotional calm. We explore relaxed left-hand technique, allowing fingers to move freely without tension.

Smooth and balanced bowing is a key part of our lessons, promoting fluid motion and tone control. I help students visualize music patterns—shapes, intervals, and phrasing—to deepen understanding and boost confidence. Practice is never rigid; instead, I teach students to build mindful and sustainable routines that prevent physical strain and mental fatigue.
