About Lara
I graduated in 2017 in the top 20% of students in Queensland and got pre-entry into my first choice of Universities for Biomedical Science, Pre-Med. I am passionate about learning, sharing my knowledge and helping my students learn and understand. I have tutored several students in Maths, English and Biology but I am a competent French speaker and have studied at a Grade 7 AMEB level in Music as well.

Before I take on a student, I familiarise myself with the content the student is needing help with so I am fully prepared. Once I know what grade the student is in, I look into the current syllabus and curriculum material so I know how much I should cover, but only when the student is ready. I am naturally a very patient person and I encourage all of my students to be able to ask any questions they have and let me know if I am going too quickly or if they are ready to move on. Every child is different and so is the way they learn, so my approach to each and every lesson is individualised based upon the child’s needs. I, personally, don’t have any one learning style that suits me best, so I have developed many different ways of learning which I can use to help educate my students to the best of their ability. My aim is to make learning fun and easy in a stress environment, and to help my students gain confidence at school and in their learning abilities. I look forward to teaching you!
