About Dolorès

I am a professional dancer from Canada. I studied Contemporary and Modern dance in University (UQAM). I have two Dance Degrees: Dance teaching and Choreography. I have taught dance in primary and secondary schools all over Montreal for the past years. I taught dance for 4 years (Modern Jazz and Contemporary) at the University of Quebec. I can teach: basic Hip-Hop and Bollywood and intermediate and advance Modern Jazz and Contemporary. I did many dance competition when I was younger all around Canada and U.S.A.

During this time, I danced Tap, Lyrical, U.S.A Jazz and Ballet. In college, I studied in Dance and was in a professional dance group and danced for the choreographer of the ''Circle du Soleil''. When I was in University, I choreographed two professional dance shows. I danced for many professional choreographer like Georges Stamos and Sylvain Émard.

About the lesson

Teaching Modern and Contemporary, I would go through Limon and Graham Technics. For Hip-Hop teaching, I can teach Old School Hip-Hop, Est Coast U.S.A. I can teach the basics of Locking/Popping and waking, West Coast Hip-Hop U.S.A. I would always talk about history before starting to teach a new group. It's the base for me. I will always start my classes with Dance Technics, including the warm-up. Then I would do ether improve, diagonals or duo works. I would finish with choreography. It's very important for me, as a teacher, to variate my teaching methods (visual, hearing and kinesthetic)

Perfect! Very happy with Delores. My 10 year old daughter has had 4 lessons with her and loves it!! Delores is full of energy and brings that to each lesson, she listens to what my daughter wants and adds any moves she requests into the dance lesson. My daughter looks forward to each weekly lesson.

I'm teaching to Cassie's daughter Mia. The lessons are going really good. Mia is working hard every week and she has greatly improved since the first class. It's a pleasure to teach her. It's been 8 weeks all ready and many to come!
