About Ben Bullett
As an active professional musician I am proficient in reading music for guitar, working in musical theatre, working with signed and independent artists, music industry marketing, songwriting, transcribing, teaching theory as well as guitar in all styles and bass to a professional working level. I hold a Bachelor of Music degree in guitar performance and contemporary music from The Academy of Contemporary Music, where upon graduating I became a tutor. I have been teaching privately for 6 years, completing lesson plans and tailoring private lessons to the student’s needs. I have experience tutoring for ABRSM and Rockschool grades 1 - 8, including grade 5 theory and university preparation for music BMus and BA degrees. Students study or have studied under my mentoring for a range of reasons. Some just want to play for fun and others want to make a career out of music. Both are valid reasons to begin your journey learning. I hope to encourage that whatever reason you choose to learn for, the more you enjoy it, the faster you will improve.

I am an active professional musician with regular and relevant experience touring and performing with numerous West End cast, production companies, musicians and pop artists while having tutored at one of the UK's most notorious music conservatoires, The Academy Of Contemporary Music. Having taught students from ages 6 - 60, I am aware that everyone learns differently. I have a strong understanding that it is far easier to get the results you want when learning, if you particularly enjoy doing so. Therefore I believe I must be positive and encouraging to my students at all times. I like to demonstrate skills first to get students excited about learning. I have often found this to be a very effective way. I also feel that being 24 years old I can relate to younger students but due to my professional work and nature can relate to adults 100%. I am able to provide PDF resources of lesson content as well as written resources. I can teach in person in the UK or in Athens, Greece. With students I can cover topics such as improvisation, music theory (harmony, melody and rhythm), ear training, transcribing, stylistic awareness (picking technique, harmony within specific styles), arranging (drop voicing, voice leading etc.), musical analysis within popular music, scoring/lead sheets and chart writing, academic writing.

"Benjamin is a fantastic guitarist and has been a pleasure to work with at the ACM. Benjamin is certainly a guitarist to look out for in the future”
Ben has been providing guitar tuition sessions to me with consistently high quality. He is open minded and highly skilled professional, who is capable of bringing music theory knowledge and wealth of practical experience in natural and comfortable way, adapting lessons' pace and discussed material to the student's skills level. Ben is very flexible in the way how sessions are planned and conducted, and makes tuition interactive and educational process. I would recommend getting in touch with Ben and considering him for tuition, should you want to improve your theoretical knowledge, learn new techniques, rectify or sharpen guitar playing skills. For me being a non-professional guitar player, but a person who is passionate about learning how to play the guitar, Ben brought me to another level of knowledge and educated with tips and hints how my playing techniques can be improved and existing mistakes corrected, as well as he highlighted which areas special attention shall be paid to. Having such positive experience as Ben's student, I think professional and skilled guitar players will also find collaboration with Ben being fruitful and advantageous.
