In high school I have received national merit awards, AP Scholar with Honors, varsity recognition for academic achievement, and maintained above a 4.1 GPA with honors, AP, and some regular classes. I do not believe in conventional teaching. I will walk you through different methods of active learning and studying to figure out what works best with you. This tends to include spaced repetition, using questions instead of writing notes, visualization. Memory techniques such as analogies, acronyms, and connections to topics you enjoy also tend to be helpful from past experience with students. I will do whatever I can to help you learn how to learn so that studying for hours on end can become a thing of the past.
