About the lesson

Science and maths quite literally make the world go round (or at least explain it), and I love sharing them with others. It’s what drove me to become a teacher, and what keeps me enthusiastic and excited to help others to learn.

I have been a qualified teacher specialising in Science for many years now, and a tutor for even longer. My university degree is in Chemistry, but both in schools and in tutoring sessions I have taught Physics, Biology and Maths to A-Level. I firmly believe that the best way to learn something is to discover it yourself, and as much as possible I try not to dictate to my students, but instead to guide them to the knowledge themselves. I like to keep my lessons enthusiastic and positive, and have experience teaching students of all abilities from 11 years old upwards.

I hope to be able to impart the same understanding and awe of the subjects to my students that led me to study Science, and want to learn a little more about our universe every single day.
