About Connor

I am a biological science graduate with minors in both chemistry and statistics. I have been able to help many students gain a greater understanding of the mathematical concepts that are struggling with and aim to create a safe environment for them to feel comfortable with giving mathematics a go.

Lots of students find that once they can't understand a topic straight away that they will never understand it. I aim to let them know that while these concepts can be difficult to understand and use straight away they are capable of learning them.

I have found this approach very useful and successful with my students as it builds their own self confidence and can lead them on to greater achievements on their own.

About the lesson

My methodology for teaching mathematics is to first ask questions of my students so I can understand where their knowledge base begins and how I can build on it to bring their knowledge up to the level they need it to be. I then go through the concepts they are learning and explain how it builds on from the simpler topics they have learnt in the past. With these steps taken, I can ensure the results and an increased understanding of the content you need
