About Youssef
Hi there, my name is Youssef but my friends call me Joey. I am lucky to have been in contact with different cultures and languages since I was young. I grew up speaking French and Arabic and later on learned English, Spanish, and am now having a go at Italian and Portuguese. Having taught languages online and in person in many countries, I fell in love with the bonds that learning about a language and its culture creates between humans. I believe learning languages is about exposure and confidence. As such my lesson plan is designed to give you as much exposure to real life situations as possible. This will help you build confidence and put to use the learnings of every class in your daily life.
A typical lesson will have us go through fun exercises to build vocab, have a daily life conversation (eg; asking about directions, ordering food, introducing yourself), and then watch a short video or listen to a song.
As a language lover, I know that learning a new language can be daunting, that is why I try to make it as enjoyable as possible by focusing on making each step of the process rewarding. Each class you'll learn something new about French culture and lifestyle that you can share with your friends and family.
While I adapt my lesson to your specific needs and objectives, I will be able to help you the most for intermediate to advanced conversation skills.
