About Serena
Many kids struggle with maths not because of a lack of competence, but because they simply haven't had it explained to them in a way they understand. I strive to listen to my students so I can provide them with a personalised learning plan that suits them best.
I have always quite enjoyed maths, and working with children is a fun challenge. I look forward to any opportunities I can get as a tutor.

I intend to tutor students from grades Kindergarten to Year 9 through whatever maths coursework they are having trouble understanding. Lessons would go for one-hour sessions at Wollongong Library and would cost $20 per hour.
I am currently a senior high school student, and I have always been at the top of my grade in Mathematics. I have received various awards for my academic achievements including coming 4th in the state at "Number crunchers" (Math competition).
My methodology is actively listening to what the student is having trouble understanding. I would then explain the work to them in a very simple and comprehensive way.
