About Alma

I’m a singing tutor with over 5 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music Education with a focus on voice. My passion lies in vocal storytelling, especially through Jazz Standards, Broadway solos, and Golden Age repertoire. I love helping students bring songs to life by mastering swing phrasing, jazz ornamentation, and character interpretation. Reading lead sheets and understanding the structure behind the music is also a key part of my teaching. I work closely with passionate adults, seasoned singers, and community theater actors who want to deepen their connection to classic styles. Together, we explore how to communicate emotion and narrative through every note and phrase. I believe singing is more than hitting the right pitch—it’s about performing with style, emotion, and timeless charm. My lessons are tailored to each student’s voice and goals, whether you’re preparing for a show or simply want to enjoy singing with confidence. About the lesson
