About Jodi
I have a BMus Jazz Performance qualification from the prestigious South African College of Music, University of Cape Town. I also spent a year at Cape Music Institute where I developed my skill set in songwriting. My musical roots stem from r&b and gospel. I spent 3 years working as a music lecturer at Campus of Performing Arts which is a private tertiary institution specialising in popular contemporary music. I am now a full time freelance musician, session vocalist, songwriter and private vocal coach. Even though I studied Jazz and got my qualification in that genre, I pride myself in versatility and believe that no matter what your genre preference is, I can assist you. I however am not qualified to teach classical or opera singing. If you're interested in what I can offer then let's get the ball rolling and help you improve!

Singing is a skill which should be approached in a personalised matter as not everyone receives information the same way. I am able to help you become YOUR best by providing you with tools that will help you improve as a singer. I am fluent in English and Afrikaans. A typical lesson would cover technical aspects, some sight reading for students interested and we will also do study pieces to help you put what you're learning to practice! Students at all levels are welcome!
