Do you love Indian food? Does a curry or a spicy stir fry excite you, while its cooking process intimidate you? My classes would cater to your personal requirements, we would work on what interests you and bring the best version of your culinary skills while cooking. Indian food is more than just the restaurant curries, it has a rich history. Indian cooking has never been simpler, tastier and healthier before. My classes would be nothing like you have experienced before. I believe in stories behind meals and I believe that food can bring us together. So, if this sounds like a good experience for you, then join me in the culinary adventure of spices tingling on your taste buds. If spicy is not your thing, my food can bring an outburst of flavours by being mild too.
I am a 23 year old final year Marketing student studying in University of Wollongong. I am from India, and I have always been passionate about cooking. I am a self taught cook with knowledge of my traditional family recipes which I firmly believe in sharing with the world. I love experimenting with flavours and I enjoy creating simpler and healthier versions of Indian meals. I love a mix of both hearty and rich food which is even healthy. Cooking for me is a therapy filled with love.
Cancellation policy of 48 hours apply.

Bachelors of Communication and Media studies
My work colleagues love the smell of my lunch.
I have always wanted to be a chef, but my family wanted me to obtain a degree where I could get a desk job.
So, here I am, a cook at heart and a marketing and media student by intellect.
Perfect! I booked Indian cooking lessons with Lekhika for my husband as a Christmas gift that we could do together. He absolutely loved it and so did I! We learnt so much and got so many tips and tricks throughout the process. I went in thinking Indian food was so complicated and left with confidence that I can cook tasty Indian food. Lekhika made a delicious and diverse menu for us (we wanted to learn how to cook some vegetarian dishes) and within just a couple of hours we had a feast of amazing tasty food.... chickpea curry (chana masala) mixed lentil curry (Dahl makhani) the most delicious carrot and pea stir fry with cream, rice with saffron and peas and a few different kinds of bread!! Lekhika shared lots of stories about her favorite Indian foods and traditions and told us about her childhood in India. She also made an authentic chai to help with my flu! Lekhika was very a very calm and warm person, and an excellent cook! We discovered that authentic Indian food is much nicer than the restaurant Indian food - it is much cleaner and fresher with far less oil and salt and no artificial colourings! I would highly recommend anyone to take these cooking classes, we loved them and I’m sure you will too.
