About Just
My journey started when I was just four years old. I was interested in a Chinese board game, called Go. I have been playing it ever since, getting to an advanced level (7 Dan on Fox). As for chess, it has always been a passion to me in my childhood, and I will share my knowledge about the game with my students.
Having lots of experience teaching both Chess and Go, I have concluded that grinding games and trying to get better with puzzles is not the key. To improve, students first need the right mindset and understanding of the game. I strive to teach to the best of my ability.
As for communication and time zones, lessons are available in English or Chinese. English is preferred. I live in Pacific Time Zone (PST), and we can work together later to find a suitable time for both of us.

As both a Chess and Go enthusiast, I have been passionate about both board games at a very young age. I started playing Go when I was four, and I was so dedicated that, sometimes I would have sleepovers with my Go teacher. I started Chess at the age of eight, and have been just as interested in Chess as Go. Although not yet champion level, I do have over a decade of experience in both, although I do prefer teaching Go more!
In my lessons, I am heart-to-heart with students and strive to help them be at their best ability. As an experienced tutor, I've noticed that many students do not have the right mindset in a game of Chess/Go, and instead of playing mindlessly, a careful approach to understanding the game is key.
As for Chess lessons, I am offering lessons for Beginner-Intermediate level students, and we can find a suitable time for us later.
As for Go lessons, I am an advanced player (7 Dan on Fox) so I will be offering lessons from the beginner level up until advanced.
