About Lyla
I’m a singing tutor with over 10 years of experience and an Advanced Diploma in Singing, passionate about helping young voices discover their unique sound. I specialize in teaching children and early teens, using creative and playful methods to keep lessons engaging. Games, movement, and storytelling are at the heart of my teaching, making it easy for students to grasp pitch, rhythm, and vocal basics without feeling pressured. I love introducing folk songs, Disney favorites, and musical theater pieces that are both age-appropriate and inspiring. These songs spark imagination and make practicing at home something students actually look forward to. I carefully tailor techniques to match each student’s stage of development, ensuring their voices grow safely and naturally. Confidence building is a key focus in every session. We practice listening skills, teamwork, and expression, so students not only sing better but also feel proud of their progress. Most importantly, I create a fun, safe, and exciting space where every child feels free to explore music. Learning to sing should be an adventure—and with the right support, it becomes one they’ll never forget.

My teaching method focuses on helping students step onto the stage with confidence and presence. Whether they dream of playing in a tight-knit quartet or bringing fiddle melodies to life, I guide them to connect deeply with their music and their audience. We work on posture, breath control, and diction—key elements that turn a performance from good to unforgettable.
Microphone technique becomes a vital skill, ensuring every note and word carries clearly and beautifully. I use curated song choices that reflect each student’s personality, helping them feel ownership of their performance. Movement exercises and stage presence drills allow them to explore charisma, body language, and how to hold an audience’s attention.
For ongoing growth, we use video feedback to review performances, spot areas of strength, and refine the details that make a performance shine. Breathwork and vocal stamina apps support their practice between lessons, keeping their voice and energy strong.
Most importantly, I create a safe, encouraging space where students can take risks, shed self-doubt, and build self-belief. With every rehearsal, they don’t just learn songs—they grow into confident performers ready to engage any stage.
