About Beth
I am a 27 year old post graduate art student, living with my partner in Toorak. I have a bachelor of honours degree in painting and a foundation pre-dregree in Art and Design.
I currently run a venue in Melbourne CBD and I'm looking to move away from hospitality and start my career in my real passion; Painting.
I am professional, passionate, knowledgeable and reliable, and eager to pass on my skills and expertise through intimate one to one lessons.

About the lesson

After 5 years of studying Art/Painting I can confidently pass on knowledge to all ages, starting at 14years. I specialise in abstract/neo-expressionist painting but can also assist in still life and minimalist painting. My tutoring style is casual but informative, allowing for more of a conversation rather than being a one sided interaction. In my lessons you will learn the in and outs of mark making, the use of space, and how to create relations between brushstroke and marks. (hint - anything can be a paint brush!)
I also have extensive knowledge in mixing mediums for example; creating fluid works using oils, or thick textural pieces using sand and acrylic. My tutoring lessons will of course touch on how to read abstract works and how it can be perceived by an audience.
My passion is painting and that really shines through in my lessons!
Experience:
I have experience as a primary school teacher (age group 7 years old) and whilst in university assisted first years (age 18+) in their paintings. I also ran a few group assessments where students would present their work and answer any questions about their paintings. I am eager to start my tutoring career and would be happy to teach anyone who wants to persue their artistic dreams!
