This reputations has led to the creation of hybrid sports like Shadow Boxing and Cross boxing, a cross between boxing and cross fit. These are becoming quite popular in gyms across the country.

What’s the goal?

You box either on your own or against a punching bag or speed bag. You don’t have an opponent that’ll punch you back. This helps aspiring boxers to gain muscular definition very quickly!

Boxing: A Complete Sport

We often say that boxers are all-round athletes. They do so much more than just working on their punches, their jabs, and hooks, they also:

  • Work on their endurance and cardio so that they go 8, 10, or 12 rounds in the ring;
  • Work on their legs so that they can effectively move round the ring like Sugar Ray Robinson;
  • Work on their abs so that they can take heavy punches to the body and also dodge quickly;
  • Work on their upper body, shoulders, and arms so that they can throw powerful punches.
