About Haike
Hello! I am happy that you want to play the piano! My path to becoming a pianist is not that usual and had to take a few detours because I first decided to study biology and do my doctorate in it. In the end, however, it became increasingly clear to me that it was not enough for me to just play music as a hobby, so five years ago I decided to apply to study piano in Munich and it worked! Meanwhile I am a trained pianist and teacher, give concerts as a soloist and chamber musician, work with singers ... and teach! Since my "new life"; I have taught numerous private piano students with a wide variety of experiences, from complete beginners without knowledge of sheet music to very advanced ones (e.g. to successfully prepare for the entrance exam for studying music). I am now 33 years old and I am deepening my pianistic skills with a 2-year artistic master class diploma, and I also continue to work a bit as a neurobiologist part-time.

My teaching method is based on years of experience with a wide variety of students of all ages and levels of experience, as well as the didactic basics of (piano) teaching that I learned in my pedagogy studies. It is important to work on all aspects of music at the same time right from the start, from technical basics (sitting posture, finger, hand and arm movements, etc.) and music / rhythm theory to musical interpretation (who has heard a computer-generated MIDI file once will know how boring and lifeless music sounds if you don't shape it) up to theoretical background knowledge. My lessons are therefore never one-dimensional. In addition, it is my top priority to respond to the personality and individual strengths of my students and to create an inspiring, relaxed and joyful atmosphere in the classroom. I work very detailed and focused, but the joy of playing the piano and the enthusiasm for the music always have priority for me. My first lesson is free for you, after that you can decide whether you want to stay with me or not. At the moment I teach exclusively online depending on the situation.
