About Janine
As trite as it sounds, I have always wanted to be an art teacher. I have come to know the amazing journey of being creative, expressing oneself through the various mediums of art. Through my personal experiences and working as an artist, I see that sharing my insight, skills, and providing encouragement, helps those in the arts attain self-efficacy. I feel that having a bachelor in fine art in life drawing along with an associate degree in graphic design allowed me to be an educator to inspire many students. I have been afforded many years of teaching students in public schools, state universities, private schools, art centers, summer programs, after school enrichment, with students from ages 4 to 84 and in all mediums and genres. I have also worked in art studios, painting workshops and taught virtually, in classroom and in tutoring sessions. I love art and live it, traveling often to museums and taking in the sights and insights of many artists, past and present! My zeal is evident, and I am always striving to expand my knowledge to better share with students!

Whether you are just beginning to explore the arts, or you have already been enhancing your creative skills, I can allow you to explore more options and become more keen on visualizing the world around you. We can look at landscapes, drawing portraits or focus on animals to create realistic or abstract work, using a variety of mediums! Let me provide the insight from my years of teaching art and being a visual artist to allow you to open the box of your immense potential!
