About Eric
Though I am new to this platform, I was given the opportunity to have a lot of exposure to music since I was a young child. On and off, I played the piano since about 4 years old. I have received lessons as a child. When I went to university, I majored in science but also minored in music because it was another interest of mine.
As for other non-piano things, I have been in choirs in my high school and university.
Having gone through different events in my life, I have always come to appreciate how piano music could be a form of expression and a way to help others, either by playing for others or playing for one's well being.
It is without a doubt that I would like students, who have the interest in learning piano, to ultimately appreciate the benefits of piano music.
Lessons will be online. My lessons would be for those who would like to learn through online sessions.

For my lessons, I would first assess the individual's skill level using some piano pieces of a known difficulty. Once a song is seen to have the student struggle, then we can work on techniques or mastering the song. If the song proves too hard, the song may be modified or a different one can be chosen.
The types of lessons that can be covered (for learning a piece) include learning scales, chords, expression of the piano piece, making adaptations to finger placement as necessary.
Once a song is mastered, then other songs can be looked at and mastered, as the skill of the individual improves.
I can work with beginner to intermediate-level individuals seeking improvement.
