About Miles

"I am a Singing tutor with over 8 years of experience teaching students from all walks of life — school children, college students, and working professionals. My passion for music and teaching has helped me guide many students on their journey to becoming confident and expressive singers. I believe that every person has a unique voice, and with proper training and encouragement, anyone can learn to sing beautifully. My teaching style is friendly, patient, and student-centered. I begin by understanding each student’s current level, musical interests, and learning goals. Then I create a personalized lesson plan that helps them grow step by step. I focus on core techniques like breathing, pitch control, vocal warm-ups, and proper posture. As students progress, we work on more advanced skills like vocal dynamics, range improvement, and expressive singing. I teach various styles of music including Bollywood, Indian classical, semi-classical, devotional (bhajans), folk songs, and light music. I also help students improve their stage presence and performance skills if they are preparing for school events, college fests, reality show auditions, or local concerts. My goal is not just to teach singing, but to build confidence, self-expression, and a lifelong love for music. I create a safe and supportive space where students feel comfortable asking questions, trying new things, and learning from mistakes. Singing is not just about hitting the right notes — it’s about feeling the music and telling a story through your voice. I am here to help each student find their voice and shine. "

About the lesson

Over the course of more than 8 years in vocal instruction, I’ve cultivated a teaching style that combines structure, empathy, and artistry. I work with singers across all levels, from complete beginners to experienced performers, providing them with the tools they need to strengthen their voice and express their individuality. I begin by assessing vocal habits and identifying areas for improvement, then build a tailored plan focused on breath support, vocal placement, relaxation, and pitch control. These fundamentals are vital, not just for improving vocal ability, but for preserving the voice over time. As technical skills develop, I shift focus to the interpretive side of singing—tone shaping, phrasing, and conveying emotion authentically through voice. I emphasize the importance of connecting with the meaning behind lyrics and using that to guide delivery. I also coach on presence and communication, helping students overcome performance anxiety and present themselves with confidence. My lessons include genre versatility, covering everything from classical arias to modern pop and R&B, and I support students in crafting repertoires that reflect their taste and goals. I aim to inspire independent, expressive singers who are not only capable of strong performances but are also empowered to take ownership of their vocal journey.
