About Suri
I am a guitar tutor with over 12 years of experience, specializing in group classes and interactive workshops, both offline and online. My teaching style is rooted in collaboration, creativity, and community. I believe that music is best learned and enjoyed together. In my sessions, I focus on balancing group energy with individual attention. Each student gets space to grow while contributing to the collective sound. I work with students from elementary to advanced levels, helping them build confidence, technique, and musical awareness. I regularly lead ensemble playing, organize jam sessions, and arrange music to suit diverse group dynamics. Whether it's a blues groove, jazz standard, or modern acoustic set, I ensure every player feels included and valued. My classes promote listening, teamwork, and self-expression. My teaching approach focuses on helping students truly connect with the guitar. I teach from the basics to advanced levels, guiding each student step-by-step at their own pace. Whether you’re into classical, jazz, rock, or experimental styles, I tailor lessons to your musical taste and goals. I also introduce students to sound design, looping techniques, and creating ambient textures to help them explore modern and creative ways of playing.
In my sessions, I focus on building strong fundamentals in technique, rhythm, and ear training. At the same time, I encourage improvisation and expression through chord exploration and melodic phrasing. For students interested in pushing boundaries, I teach experimental methods like prepared guitar, alternate tunings, and effects layering.
I support those who are still finding their voice and those who’ve started late but want to grow fast. I help students develop confidence, creativity, and a unique style. Every lesson is interactive and inspiring, ensuring they leave feeling motivated. I provide feedback and practice tools to support steady improvement. Most importantly, I help students fall in love with their instrument and keep learning fun.
