Every lesson is planned ahead of time and can incorporate sight reading, tablature, chords and other technical skills, depending on student. Type of lessons range from teaching song writing techniques to support students to write and develop their own music, to instrument-focused technical skills.
My teaching method is focused on the interests of each people, so, if you want to sing and play, play rock, classical music, jazz or experimental music, I can apply the correct method for your training. I'm only the tutor, you put the rhythm of the classes.
You pick which songs you want to learn I will create a teaching style suitable to you This will include, exercises, scales, riffs/licks to improve technique and improve your musical ear We will learn FULL songs and create a repertoire of musical pieces to perform and learn to create your own music.
Online sessions will be used to gauge the students level and choose the appropriate course. The session will then be used to teach general guitar technique, chord structures and answer any questions. Each lesson is contained in a folder. The folders will be shared with student via dropbox, a free service that allows 2GB of online storage.
I base my classes on what everybody wants to learn making it fun and not tedious, for example if somebody wants to play professionaly ill teach him more theory and technique than some one that wants to play just for fun in that case ill teach songs and exercises for them to develope their hands skills and be able to play with good technique fast
I teach an engaging song based method, which is customised to you. Teaching you how to play a song you love as soon as possible helps with your confidence and is overall more enjoyable. I can teach a range of songs and styles which help you with the correct technique, building a foundation of songs while introducing helpful theory. I can also teach you through AMEB studies.
I like to teach by guiding a student along, from the basics to the more advanced material. I'd like to be teaching a student how to play the guitar as if it's second nature, and generally would like things to be light-hearted and fun.
Hi there! :) I am Wyandrhine and I am an 18 year old high school graduate from Northpine Christian College. I believe my music education in and outside of school, practical experiences, self-learning, and my enthusiastic and outgoing personality would make me your great tutor.
I'm Scott and I'm a rock guitarist with a real love for 80's and 90's alternative, grunge, rock and metal music. I have a passion for teaching beginner guitarists, and seeing them improve rapidly under my tutorship. As an instructor I have a great deal of patience, and teach in a down to earth and practical manner. Each student is different, and I cater lessons to their unique needs and goals.
Playing a musical instrument is about entering a place of absolute freedom and enjoyment. It is an amazing flow state, playing by yourself or with others. I am not an over-technical player, I believe in a more simple, soulful approach. I do not get bogged down in theory, but get you playing fast, learning songs you like, jamming, concentrating on feel, groove and time.
My teaching method is always focussed on the needs of the student. It's my job to find out what you would like to learn and how to best help you achieve your musical goals. Whether that simply be learning a few of your favourite songs or delving deep into musical theory and the technical aspects of the instrument.
My teaching method depends on the student. I transform my guitar lessons in a way that best helps my students gear in with the lesson focus. For the first few lessons, it will be treated as a calibration period, where I can estimate what the student is good at and areas they need to work on.
I start with the basics, I help the student understand the chord names and chord patterns and then proceed to help them play the chords standalone and then a sequence which will then lead on to a whole set of possibilities surrounding the instrument.
I suggest an individual approach in tutoring: the teaching program depends on personal demand of each student. Instruction will vary depending on particular student'a need and goal. That is why objectives can range from easy to hard tasks. To summarize: my teaching method depends a lot of the subject and the student itself.
I am very patient teacher and I want to help my students to strengthen and develop their musical knowledge in bass guitar no matter age or skill level. We will start with getting an understanding for the instrument through different genres of music and skill building techniques. I'm very happy for suggestions from studies or song that a student or a parent wants me to focus on.
My teaching methods are tailored to individual styles of music. By doing this, you learn to play the songs that you love, which is why you want learn to play guitar. That's why i wanted to learn the guitar, and it makes learning fun. That leads to faster learning.
I base all my methods on analysing the students skill and mindset to see what types of techniques are required to learn and keep them focused and motivated with ideas and inspiration that I've experienced over the past 20 years.
I am a 20 year old male, who is very interested in meditation, yoga and music. Much of my teaching is based on encouragement to persevere and flourish in their own personal practice, which is different for every individual. I can and have worked with various individuals and crafted a practice and routine designed for them and their strengths.
I emphasize my teachings on practice, passion with the instrument and most of all - having FUN! Familiarization with the instrument is foremost. I teach the student the basics of reading notes and guitar tablature. Practice exercises are given on each session. Finger and strumming dexterity is also developed.
My teaching is based upon gaining an understanding of what the student wants to get out of learning the guitar and move forward with a fun and structured approach to achieve that goal, whether that be to learn songs, follow a formal grading route, develop technique or learn new skills - beginner to advanced.
My way of teaching is from my many years of playing shows, practicing, teaching and just being a musician as well. I can identify what problems the individual needs to become more aware of and I create lessons according to what he/she needs to learn to become proficient in that area.
I'm very easygoing, fun and passionate about music. I get along with everyone very easily. Learning with me will be like going on a carnival, full of fun and games. I'm very dedicated towards my students. I'll always be ready to help my students in any way.

I think hands on teaching is better than written work. Specifically with guitar it is better to teach the basics and then ask the child what type of songs they like so i can then teach them anything specific, like strumming patterns, that are in the songs they like.
I will walk you through everything that you need to, and want to know (theory optional!).
My teaching method is simple and easy to follow. I base my classes on simple chords and chord progressions with some strumming patterns. I could also recommend online videos for home/independent learning.
I teach according to the students needs, whether you're young or older there is always something you can improve on with music, I teach from a long standing technique based method, the best way to learn is by doing it yourself.
I simply teach on the basis of student's current level of understanding and enthusiasm. I teach one on one, will be using an electric guitar and my digital audio workstation. My teaching style is casual and mostly on the basis of my personal experience.
I base my classes on muscle memory and John Petrucci rock discipline, however my lesson will be solely focused on you. I will break down the techniques in your favourite songs, how you play and correct any bad habits you may of picked up.
