About Avery
I’m a singing tutor with over 9 years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Studies. My work centers on cultural music traditions, and I’m passionate about helping students explore the rich vocal worlds of Flamenco, Hindustani Classical, Celtic Folk, and African Spirituals. These traditions offer more than melody—they carry deep history, emotion, and meaning. In my lessons, we focus on vocal ornamentation, microtonal expression, and traditional scales that bring each style to life. I also teach oral transmission techniques, guiding students to learn by listening, imitating, and feeling the music in their bodies. I believe singing is a powerful way to connect with heritage, language, and identity. Many of my students come seeking that deeper connection, and I create a space where culture and creativity meet. Whether you're honoring your roots or exploring global styles with curiosity, I’ll help you build both skill and understanding. We work on control, tone, and storytelling, while staying true to the spirit of each tradition. My goal is to help you develop vocal artistry that’s authentic, expressive, and deeply grounded.
