About Graham
I am an English tutor with over 4 years of experience and hold a Bachelor of Arts in English and Creative Writing, with a focus in Applied Linguistics. My passion lies in teaching English for Academic Purposes (EAP), where I help students navigate the demands of university-level English. I specialise in guiding learners to write strong research papers, understand complex lectures, and build a solid academic vocabulary. Much of my experience has been with university students and international learners preparing for higher education. I support them in mastering skills such as note-taking, referencing, summarising, and structuring well-developed arguments. My lessons are practical, goal-oriented, and tailored to meet each student's academic needs. I also work on developing clear, concise writing and critical thinking through engaging and meaningful tasks. Whether it's preparing for presentations or learning how to analyse texts, I help students communicate their ideas with clarity and confidence. I use a range of materials, including academic texts, lectures, and real university assignments. My approach is encouraging, structured, and student-centred.
